This Privacy Policy describes how Smart Dock Technologies LLC ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you place a reservation for the Company's Smart Docks product or otherwise communicate with us. By placing a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into the Company's Reservation Terms and Conditions.
1. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect from individuals and business representatives located in the United States who reserve, or inquire about reserving, the Smart Docks product through our checkout process or by contacting us by email. It does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including our payment processor, except as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect only the information needed to process your reservation, communicate with you, and meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations. Specifically, we collect:
- Identification and contact information, such as your name and email address.
- Reservation and transaction information, such as the date of your payment, the amount paid, the reservation queue position, and a payment confirmation or transaction identifier provided by our payment processor.
- Technical information collected at the time you accept our Reservation Terms and Conditions, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address from which acceptance was submitted and the date and time of acceptance, which we retain as a record of your agreement.
- Communications information, such as the contents of emails you send to us and our responses.
We do not collect or store your full payment card number, bank account number, or card security code. Payments are processed directly by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, which collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive only a tokenized reference and limited transaction details from Stripe, not your full financial account information.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To process, manage, and fulfill your reservation, including determining and maintaining your position in the delivery queue.
- To process payments and to issue refunds in accordance with the Reservation Terms and Conditions.
- To communicate with you about your reservation, including sending confirmations, status updates regarding product development, and responses to your inquiries.
- To maintain records of your acceptance of the Reservation Terms and Conditions, including the version accepted, the date and time, and the originating IP address.
- To comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, and protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share your personal information only in the limited circumstances described below:
- Service providers. We share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf, such as our payment processor (Stripe), email and communications providers, and similar vendors. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the recipient's commitment to honor the terms of this Privacy Policy.
5. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We retain your personal information for as long as your reservation remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to satisfy our legal, accounting, tax, and recordkeeping obligations and to resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete it or render it no longer associated with you.
6. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, and to request information about how we have shared it. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing for you to opt out of in those respects.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our reservation program is intended only for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen (13), we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our checkout and payment functions rely on Stripe. Your use of the payment process is also subject to Stripe's own privacy policy, which governs Stripe's collection and use of your payment information. We encourage you to review Stripe's privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Stripe or any other third party.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, notify active reservation holders by email. Your continued participation in the reservation program after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Privacy Policy.
